Genesis 47:13-15

The Voice

¹³ As time went on, the famine became more severe, and food became scarce in the lands of Egypt and Canaan. The people were starving. ¹⁴ Everyone from the lands of Egypt and Canaan spent all the money they had to buy grain. Joseph collected all the money and stored it in Pharaoh’s palace. ¹⁵ But when the people of Egypt and Canaan ran out of money, the Egyptians came to Joseph to plead with him.
